Affiliate disclosure
Smart Dog Fix is free to read. To help cover our costs, some of our guides contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra.
How we label affiliate links
- Any guide that contains affiliate links says so at the top, before the content, with an Ad label.
- Each affiliate product box and link is labelled Ad.
- Affiliate links carry
rel="sponsored"so search engines know they're commercial.
We follow the UK Advertising Standards Authority's guidance that affiliate content must be obviously identifiable as advertising (ASA: Online affiliate marketing).
How we choose what to recommend
- We recommend kit that supports kind, force-free training. We don't promote tools that work through pain or fear, whatever the commission.
- Commission rates never decide what we recommend or how we rank products.
- Where we haven't personally tested a product, we'll say so.
Programmes we may use
We may join affiliate programmes including Amazon Associates UK and retailer programmes run through networks such as Awin. TODO: list programmes once approved. Amazon requires the statement: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."
Our own products
We also sell our own digital training guides, such as the Smart Dog Fix Plan. When we mention them, it's clear they're ours.
